Research Interests
Here at CILER, I analyze fish diets as part of a study assessing the effects of hypoxia in the northern Gulf of Mexico. I have examined over 30 species including Atlantic bumper, Atlantic croaker, Atlantic cutlassfish, Gulf butterfish, longspine porgy, sand seatrout and striped anchovy. I am also analyzing fish acoustics from the 2007 Gulf cruise. My research interests also include marine harmful algal blooms (particularly
Prymnesium parvum), Great Lakes zooplankton, and nutrient dynamics.
