Outreach & Education Funding
To foster a regional Outreach & Education Program across the Great Lakes, CILER complements Consortium partners’ funding with up to $2,000 to support undergraduate or graduate research students who incorporate a public outreach or education component into their work. The student’s education and outreach efforts must highlight NOAA, CILER, and Consortium Partner contributions to research and management of the Great Lakes. Examples include K‐12 education activities, community outreach events, public education talks, communications on social media sites, factsheets, newsletters, or magazines.
Consortium partners interested in obtaining Outreach & Education student support may contact CILER Director Bradley Cardinale at email@example.com. Interested students should contact a Consortium Principal Investigator for assistance in making the connection with CILER.
